The world’s worst browser no longer has the majority of market share. Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, possibly the second-worst piece of software ever designed (after Outlook Express) is no longer used by the majority of web users.
The browser, which has caused myriad problems not just for users, but also for developers, has been falling in popularity for years, its market share eaten up by the rising browsers from Mozilla, Apple, and Google. IE still is the most popular browser, for the simple reason that it comes installed with Windows, and most users don’t know how to change browsers.
